Osakikamijima Kannomineyama Walk 2018

Hello everyone. Again it’s me, Chun Yang from Malaysia, student of National Institute of Technology, Hiroshima College. Here am I as one of the members of Hiroshima Study Abroad Ambassador(HSAA) for the second year. Here I will provide you with more wonderful things about Hiroshima Prefecture.

Here is an event named “Kannomineyama Walk 2018”, which was held on 3rd June 2018. “Kannomineyama”(神峰山) is the name of the mountain located in Osakikamijima, an island in Hiroshima. The event was started with Strawberries Hunting, where u can eat as many strawberries as you can in the given time. We enjoyed the the strawberries which consist of 92% of water before starting the most tiring activity, mountain climbing.

It was a distance of 3.4km from starting point to the peak of the mountain, and 6.8km in total to finish the whole walk. The scenery all along the way was just wonderful and can’t being expressed by words. There are a total of 3 observatory until u reach the peak of the mountain, where you can see a total of 115 islands of the Seto Inland Sea. This is what you couldn’t even achieve in any other places in Japan.

After the tiring mountain climbing, we were being led to Hotel Seifukan. Here was the place we could enjoy the relaxing hot spring named Kinoe Onsen. This is an outdoor public hot spring where you can relax yourself in the hot spring while enjoying the wide view of the Seto Inland Sea from the top of mountain. (You can even see the Shimanami Kaido, the bridge connecting Onomichi and Imabari!!!)

Since this is an annual event held in Osakikamijima, so you need not to be upset if you were not able to join it this year. And what i would say is I’m sure that you won’t feel regret if you came to such a wonderful place with wonderful views.
